September 30, 2020 – Ohsweken, Ontario – After competing in a limited number of races for Dan Nanticoke this season, young Liam Martin of Binbrook, Ontario will move up to the 360 Sprint Car ranks full time in 2021. He will compete in his familiar #29 for Nitro 54 Variety / Creative Edge Racing.
Martin has been turning heads since moving to full sized sprint cars in 2017. He’s won four times in the Crate Sprint Car division – twice at Ohsweken Speedway and twice with the Action Sprint Tour – and has been extremely competitive this season in his first foray behind the wheel of a 360 Sprint Car.
Nitro 54 Variety / Creative Edge Racing have also announced that Steve Lyons will step out of the driver’s seat and into a car ownership role with the team. His #9 will change to #29 with Martin as the driver.
Both Martin and the team are excited to hit the track in 2021 and plan to compete at Ohsweken Speedway weekly as well as other select events in Ontario.
